Dr. James V.A. Conkey

Dr. James Conkey has been practicing twenty of his twenty-one years in the Reno/Sparks area. He is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Conkey is a past president of the Northern Nevada Optometric Society. He is an active member of the community as well. He is a longtime member of the Reno Kiwanis Club and past member of the Sparks YMCA board of directors. He is a graduate of Leadership Reno/Sparks Program and active with the Reno/Sparks Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Dr. Conkey serves on the advisory board of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Dr. Tamara S. Old

Dr. Tamara Old completed her optometry school education in Boston at the New England College of Optometry. She continued her studies with a year of residency training in ocular disease and has worked in a medical/surgical environment for many of her years in practice. She has a vast amount of experience in refractive surgery having participated in over 1,000 LASIK/PRK/LASEK and clear lens extraction surgical cases. She is certified to treat Glaucoma in Nevada and is skilled in the area of Low Vision. She enjoys challenging contact lens fittings and happily sees patients of all ages. She is a past president of the Northern Nevada Optometric Society and is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Deborah J. Ward

Dr. Deborah J. Ward attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for her undergraduate education and graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992. She has worked extensively with local ophthalmologists for the past 14 years of practice in Reno, NV. She has a broad skill base in comanaging refractive as well as medical surgeries including LASIK, PRK, iLASIK, Visian ICL, cataract and eyelid surgeries. Dr. Ward appreciates the needs of contact lens wearers and enjoys working with her patients to achieve the best vision possible. She likes working with patients of all ages and ocular needs. Dr. Ward is a member of the American Optometric Association, Northern Nevada Optometric Optometric Society and volunteers for local educational programs when not spending time with her husband and four children.

Dr. Paul D. Wilson

Dr. Paul Wilson received his bachelor degree in Psychobiology from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1989 and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993. He has practiced in Reno for 15 years. Dr. Wilson has a special interest in difficult contact lens fittings. He is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Wilson is a past president of the Northern Nevada Optometric Society.
